Kids and Fruit

 
Established in 2003, Kids & Fruit has grown in leaps and bounds to become a leading health organisation in it’s own right….. over 15,000 young Australian’s are  enjoying the benefits of Kids & Fruit’s fantastic program.

Kids & Fruit’s success is based on the ability to;

•    Provide young people with the opportunity to taste the vast variety of Australian grown fruit, including different kinds of exotic fruit
•    Showcase the many exciting ways of enjoying fruit (eg. apple slinkies to cherry cubes)
•    Provide reinforcements for children to build better health choices. Prizes range from footballs to movie passes.
•    Provide heavily subsidised fruit and vegetables, costing less than half that anywhere else
•    Work with experienced producers to provide the freshest and tastiest Australian grown fruit
•    Compliment many disciplines of a school’s curriculum, including their integrated physical activity/health components, and provide resourceful aids upon request.
•    Compliment many sports organisations/initiatives by providing a positive reinforcement and strengthening young people’s understanding of the relationship between physical activity and healthy eating
